Safety & Security

A number of precautions have been taken by the Records Management Center to ensure that your records remain safe and secure from unforeseen circumstances such as fire, flooding, bad weather, pests and rodents, and theft.  The buildings which house your records are strategically located adjacent to the Dallas W. Greene Jr. Central Fire Station.  Fire hydrants are positioned just outside the buildings and a series of fire hoses and fire extinguishers are carefully placed throughout the warehouses. A sprinkler system is in place to protect from quickly spreading fires.  Each of the buildings are raised to protect from flooding and a central station security alarm system is installed to prevent unauthorized access to your records.
